About

We build the calculator we wished existed.

Every other "free" financial calculator on the internet is a sales trap. TurboTax shows you half the result and asks for $89. SmartAsset throws an advisor at you before showing the number. Keeper Tax wants $20/month before you can see your self-employment tax. Even the IRS's own withholding tool requires you to wade through eight pages before you get anything useful.

USACalcAI.com is the opposite. The number, instantly, free, every time, no exceptions.

What we believe

Personal finance is hard enough without every calculator on the internet trying to upsell you. People come to a paycheck calculator with one question — "what's my actual take-home?" — and they deserve an answer in 5 seconds, not a multi-step funnel.

Same for taxes. Same for retirement projections. Same for mortgage estimates. Get the number first. Trust comes from giving people what they came for.

How we make money

Affiliate partnerships. When a reader clicks through to a financial product we think is genuinely good — a tax software, a brokerage, a refinance lender — and converts, we earn a commission. That's how this site stays free.

What we will never do: hide the calculator behind a paywall. Force a sign-up. Show you a half-result and ask for an email. Push offers inside the calculator UI. The calculator is sacred. Banners sit alongside it, never within it.

The data we use

All calculators use current public tax data — IRS Pub 15 and annual Revenue Procedures, state revenue department publications, and SSA wage base announcements. We update annually each January when new IRS inflation adjustments are published. Every page shows the current tax year and the date of last data update so you know what you're looking at is fresh.

Read more in our methodology page — including exact sources for every figure.

Who builds this

A small independent team — not a finance company, not a tax-prep brand. We don't sell tax software. We don't sell financial advice. We build calculators because we kept getting frustrated trying to use other peoples'.
